Create a Google document that you share with your partner. Once the document is complete, create a title and share the document with me so I can print it out.
Your artist statement should have a title and your names underneath.
The artist statement will consist of two parts: a background of your country and events and an explanation of your collage.
Part I- Describe your country, where it is and some general information about your country. After describing the country (About 2 sentences), describe the events, people, etc that you learned about the last several weeks. What is happening in your country? Who are the main people involved? Why is this important? Essentially, what have you and your partner learned about the country?
Part II- Describe your collage. Why did you choose the quotes that you did? Why did you create the background or border in the way you did? What are the photos/images of? What do they show? Why did you create the collage in the way that you did? For example, I printed a lot of photos that had green in it because green was the color of the protests and symbolized their struggle.
